Chapter intro: Units and describing motion

Every physics measurement is a number stuck to a unit, and plenty of the time, a direction as well. Get any one of those three wrong and the answer is wrong too, however tidy the arithmetic looks. This is Units and describing motion, the very first chapter of GCSE Physics. The habits inside it carry into every chapter after this one: converting a unit properly, sorting a quantity, giving a direction when one is needed.
